In the final League hockey match of the 1960-61 scason Macaensis 'A' proved themselves worthy champions of the First Division by defeating runners-up Ármy 'A' by 2-0 at Sookunpoo yesterday.
Macaensis 'A' only dropped three points throughout the season, losing once to KCC 'A' and drawing once with Recreio 'A' and finished six points clear at the top of the table.

All the excitement came from Little Lougué baseball matches played on Saturday last at King's Park with the Giants stealing the spotlight by virtuo of a 31-0 triumph over their arch rivals the Rebels.
The Giants' pitcher George Viera struck out twelve batters in a no- bitter while team-mates Jerry Molthen, Leo and Jose Barros went to work on opposing hurler Archie Silva.
