WHAT THE PARIS COLLECTIONS
Paris.
RECENTLY the first spring and summer clothes, informed by the fresh wind from across the Channel, began to fikter into the English shops.
Here in Paris, the boutiques are already filled with them: pink, melon yellow, grass green and tourquoise are at a premium; flares, gores, low- slung waistlines and pleats are every- where in evidence; and although the streets are filled with scowling Parisi- ennes in brown and black, and navy, the shop windows blossom with a far- distant spring, which will certainly be a whole lot brighter.
Salient
My pictures show Bome of the first Paris-looking clothes to go into the shops which make. between them, most of the salient fashion points of the souson.
THE SUIT has a long, low-belted jacket, and Its skirt farer slightly from the pelvis; ils low tlours top is round-necked and bare-armed, made in a top 1981 favourite-chiffon.
THE SUMMER DRESS is agalo sleeveless, but straight-skirted (flared skirts are not necess- arly the most flatterlag shape for women over- endowed with bip).
And the EVENING TWO-PIECE is still more chiffon, softly tailored into a short-sleeved tɔp that blouses low over a straight skirt.
