Whether it's called a tip, a pourboire, a dash, or cum- show, it is a social custom that can be found all over the world. Rene Cutforth, the radio reporter, has taken time off his usual duties describing wars, revolutions and earthquakes to investigate the forms tipping takes in Britain.
He spoke to cab-drivers, waiters and hotel doarmen among the many who. receive tips, and to a variety of citizens whoalbeit unwillingly give
