1961 look is through the old- est fashion mixture of all-a jump- er and a skirt.
But if a jumper to you is a twin- sot, if a skirt to you means pencil- slim straight, you've a lot of rethinking to do.
For the new styles just going into the shops are designed with all the free-and-casy imagination that is the very essence of the new season's line. Separates are no longer stay-at-homes.
SWEATERS are cut long and loose to blouse on to the hips, bul there's none of that battle-dress bulk about them. A tle belt at hip level is the newest trimining: a fabric-smooth look, the newest texture.
To
SKIRTS are smooth, over the hips flaring or pleating thigh-high. You wear your sweaters pulled down this fulness, your shirts tucked in.
PANTS can either be very feminine when they're cut like a divided skirt, or slinky and frankly sexy when they are shung, Presley-style, over the hip- bones.
It's new, lank, a young lock, an easy look, but the castadress is completely con- trived. It needs putting together with more care and attention than you would lavish an buying a ball gown.
