Two mementos of the most desperate years in Britain's history have been shown to the press for the first time at Number 10 Downing Street, the famous official residence of British Prime Ministers.
Both dated from Sir Winston leadership Churchill's wartime
in the early 1940s. In the Prime Minister's study on the first floor a hole in the window frane is fully preserved by a glass covering.
