Don Wilson, hitting the highest scare of his career, rescued Yorkshire from dire straits against Surrey at Sheffield today. Yorkshire lost their best six batsmen for only 71 but Wilson. with Freddie Trueman, put on 68 and then a further 56 partnered by Jim Binks.
Wilson's previous best was 55 against Sussex last season. To day he hit ten fours and a six in his 83 out of 130.
