An unusual marriage took
place this week In Vic- toria when an adopted son of a family married his "sister."
The Travis family adopted Roy seven years ago, and since that time he has worked and lived with the family on their 300 acre farm in Gippsland, Victoria. Now at the age of 22, he has fallen in love with Joy, one of the daugh- ters of the house, but was unable to marry her because of legal dificulties.
He immediately took action to have his adoption annulled, and this week, the two young people, who grew up as brother and sister became man and wife. So Mrs Travis' son-by-law now be comes her son-in-law, and later after their honeymoon, the young couple will return to the Travis home to continue work on the farm.

The company gave 15 performances in the three weeks tour and travelled from Alice Springs to Darwin, visiting among other places, Kathryn, Tenant Creek and Pine Creek.
Some towns had built huts and halls to mark the Centenary celebrations which have recently been concluded, and these were used by the company for their performances, In one place a produce hall was put to good use with the help of kerosene drums and wood to make a stage.
People came from miles away to see the play, at Pine Creek they had 181 people, some even swam across the Daly River, and everybody. "within coee" came including the aborgines, who could'nt understand the plot, but enjoyed it all as they had it ex- plained to them.
