Although the work of the Hong Kong Anti-Tuberculosis Association is planned to the needs of this particular community, it is also part of the universal effort to eradicate tuberculosis. Scientists, doctors and others specialising in the treatment of tuberculosis throughout the world have made great discoveries during the last few years and the fruits of their labours are being made available to sufferers of this disease here in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Anti-Tuberculosis Association.
The future development and exten- sion of the work of the Association depends very largely upon the Annual Appeal for funds and it is good to remember that every donation represents an investment in health protection for our children and for ourselves.

At the Hongkong Cricket Club lant Sunday, U pupils of the Billy Tingto's Athletto Institute contributed a sum of $211.50 to the World 'Refugee Year Fund to mark the close of their 1959-1900 term.
Thus contribution was made possibin by Messen A. 6. Watson & Co., Ltd, who organised a competition whereby the children were to asllect "Bubble Up" Crown Cape. The company contributed one cent for every cap collected. The children who collected the most orp received useful sporting prizes.
