Cancellations of fixtures cause most disappointing rugby weekend

Saturday, March 5, should have been April 1, or All Fools Day as far as the rugger community was concerned, for game after game was cancelled, without prior knowledge being available to the public, let alone the press.

Spectators turned up at the various grounds around the Colony, waited, and then drifted disconsolately away, muttering under their breath at the general inefficiency of rugby secretaries in general and of certain ones in particular.
