London, June 18.
Bowlers took the principal honours on the first day of the second Tost match between India and England at Lord's today. England' were on top when Tom Greenhough, the Lancashire log-spinner, snatched five wickets for 35 in helping to dismiss India for 168.
Then in turn the Indian bowlers surprised England. They removed the opening pair, Arthur Milton and Ken Taylor, for 26 and in the closing moments of the day's game Surendra Nath upset Peter May's wicket so that the final position appeared even with England wanting 119 for the lead with seven wickets to fall.
