London, April 30. A simpler and cheaper way of making atom bombs, which carries tremen- dous political implications, has been discovered by Sir William Penney and his team at Aldermaston, Berk- shire.
They have found how to make the bombs with devastating power from the relatively crude plutonium metal, turned out as a by-product by any atomic electricity station.
It will now be much easier for the Japanese, Italians, Germans, French and other nations building peaceful atomic power plants to manufacture atom bombs.

Cannes, April 30. Rejection of a Franco-Japanese film recalling the atomic bombing of Hiroshima has created a Hively controversy on the opening day of the twelfth Annual Cannes International Film Festival today.
The film, Hiroshima Mon Amour (Hiroshima, My Love) made by 27-year-old Ainin Remmals, was reportedly hailed by French Minister of Culture Andre Malraux as France's best but will not be shown at the festival. The film anade in Japan and France
