Officials say, that two opposing groups of convicts inside the sprawling prison, 30 miles east of Manila, are killing each other with weapons made of tin cans and rusty nails, sometimes under the very noses of the guards.
At the end of March, Gabriel Bucintin, reported to be a leader of one of the groups, was stabbed to death while he was leaving the wash-room of his prison barracks.
