NIKITA KHRUSHCHEV, Russia's overlord, is being given a tremendous

personal build-up by the Kremlin. Nothing like it has been seen in Russia since the death of Stalin six years ago ended the "personality cult" of Kremlin leaders.

It all started last week-end. Pretext: Khrushchev's 65th birthday. Suddenly, without any warning, the Kremlin is disgorging information about the Soviet leader's personal life, simple facts which the Soviet lenders with their innate suspicion of details which reveal their private life-have so far withheld.

Most significant thing about the praise is the insistence. of Khrushchev's personal qualities.

BRITISH doctors have made a sensational discovery which, they believe, could lead to pin-pointing the cause of blood cancer, tumours, sex abnormality and many kinds of mental deficiency.

It may also enable them, eventually, to prevent the birth of the Mongol, or "Idiot child."

The discovery, made almost simultaneously at Harwell, University College, London, and in Edinburgh, is regarded as a major "break-through" after years of guesswork.

It operis up many new lines of research, particularly into some kinds of cancer.

Why are children bom Int becile? Why are some men born half-wemon? What is the link between these conditiong and leukemia, or blood cancer? Doctors are convinced they have found the answer.

CURE FOR "CAR SICKNESS”?

sickness, is the latest invention of the Electronics and Aerodynamics sections of A. V.
