BRIAN LONDON ARRIVES IN INDIANAPOLIS-PREDICTS SURPRISE FOR PATTERSON
Indianapolis, April 16.
Square-jawed Brian London flew into Indianapolis late today and said heavyweight champion Floyd Patterson "may be in for a surprise" when they meet in their title scrap at the Coliseum on May 1. The former British Empire champion met newsmen within minutes of arriving. He was accompanied by his father, Jack, and brother, Jack Jr., and said he is ready to go to work. In fact, he said he would have his first workout tonight to shake the kinks out of his 210-pound frame.
