BIG GOLD SEIZURE:

About $80,500 worth of gold was seized by Revenue officers on board a motor junk coming in from Macao last Saturday morning.
Appearing in court this morning were two crew
members of the motor junk, Shing Ping, who pleaded guilty to importing gold illegally into the Colony before Mr Derek Cons, Central Magistrate,
Defendants were Young Har
and Wang Kon, both of the

The vessel was searched and in the wheel house concealed in a hole was found 23 bars of gold. Wong KAR admitted carrying the gold for someone,
The motor Junk was taken to the Custodian Wharf where R was searched again.
Another 30 bary of gold were found hidden in the engine room, Yeung Har then ad- mitied
he was carrying the gold from Macon to Hongkong
for someone.
Both defendants were repre sented by Mr G. E, S, Steven- son of. Stewart and Company.
