Of A

New Era In Hongkong Football?

The annual merry-go-round of Hongkong football is already beginning to turn and I was hardly surprised when I was approached the other day on the subject of nomina- tions for the positions of President and Chairman of the HKFA next season.

It seems there is still a long time until the Annual General Meeting in July and yet it is quite obvious that certain interested parties are not going to let any grass grow under their feet this time. The canvassing and sponsoring of candidates is; even this early, starting to gain impetus.

It is a well known fact that What we need now is a last year the elections did not Chairman who will reconcile please some people.

By OLLY VAS

If you take any interest at all in softball matters you must have heard time and again that in the near future Hongkong, would be sending a ladies' representative side to Taiwan to reciprocate the numerous visits they have already paid us.

Now I am privileged to report that the idle chatter during Council meetings has given way to something more concrete in making plans for "Operation Taiwan" The news is timely indeed for by a happy coincidence the HK Softball Association are playing hosts to the Taiwan Pandas during the Easter holidays.
