Three-run homers by Willie Mays and Valmy Thomas paced the San Francisco Giants to an 11 to 2 victory over the St Louis Cardinals today in San Francisco, Mays hit his homer in the eighth inning to cap a five-run assault against lefty Bill Wight, the fourth St Louis pitcher.
