New York, Apr. 30. Bob Corv, hitting like a whirlwind since the season started, smashed his fifth and sixth homers, in the campaign today to drive in five runs and lead the surprising Kansas City Athletics to an 11-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The victory moved the second-place Athletics within a half game of the League-leading New York Yankees, who lost a 10-1 decision to the Detroit Tigers.
