The Budget-Good News Rubber: One BRITAIN SELLS OVER

Gold & Dollar Figures For March

By RONALD BOXÁLL

London, Apr. 7. The budget duo on April 15 is not, after all, likely to be the gloomy affair that was `oncé expected. This is the conclusion that has been drawn from the mass of economic data released, as is the custom, at the end of the financial year. The week's best news, however, did not come from the usual annual offering of information about the national income, the balance of payments and the economic outlook for 1958, It was in the gold and dollar figures for March.
