On the other hand Telephonea went down to $27.10 on the on- dividend nouncement of their

and bonus which was similar to last year's. This share, however, recovered quickly to close yes- terday at $27.40-a gain of ten cents un the week.

Hongkong Telephones 10- clared dividend of $1.50 plus n cash bonus of 23 cents. Last $1.50 was year the dividend plum cash bonus of 25 cents for old shares, and a dividend of 75 cents and a bonus of 12 cents for new shares. Appropria- tion for this year's lykkend and bonus will be $5,250,000 compared with $4.207,500 Jad year, nearly $1 million more.
