To my knowledge Jar O on Lantau Island had one, formed by charitable subscription, and indeed, there was one at Lai Ping Shan Street on Hong Kong Island. It was known as Kong Fuk Yee Challand but in 1851. also formed by charitable subscription. It was taken over and extended as the Hung Wah Hospital in 18701, after which it became a hospital in the western style.
