Three Games Each

Now York, Oct. 9. Home runs by Hank Bauer and Yogi Berro gave the New York Yankees a 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Braves today, evening the 1957 World Series at three games cach.

Bauer's blow turned out to be the big one which kept the Yankees "alive." It came with one man out in the seventh inning and just made it. The ball hit the left field foul pole and bounced back on to the field, breaking a 2-2 tie.

The Braves also came up with two homers, by Frank Torre and Hank Aaron, but both came with the bases empty. Berra's came with Enos Slaughter on base in the third inning to give the Yankees an carly 2-0 edge.

TV Will Bring Colony Cricket Inside Your Home This Week

By JOHN LUFF

Television will bring the Chater Road cricket pitch inside your home, when the first sports Telecast in Hongkong is made on Saturday. Exactly at two o'clock, the new booster lens will zoom down onto the pitch, and you will sit in front of your set within three yards of the batsman. A ranging camera will chase the ball for you, and you will be able to yell "butterfingers" without the slightest risk of getting a thick-ear from an ardent supporter.

John Grant will be the commentator for this match, a difficult job which requires a genius for knowing when not to talk.

The occasion is the match between HKCC "Scorpions" and Craigengower Cricket Club.

Television Wired Service have made numerous experiments, and tried out many sites for their cameras, but are now ready to go. This should be good news for all armchair cricketers all over the Colony,

I RIDE AGAIN ON DEVON LOCH

By DICK FRANCIS

I rode again on Devon Loch the other morning. Miss North Wilmot had asked me to try him out at her Binfield Grove stables in Berkshire, where the Queen Mother's great "chaser has been receiving special treatment for tendon trouble.

It was grand to be on his back again. We went at a fast canter and there is no doubt that Devon Loch is as full of life and as eager as over.
