JAPAN CALLS FOR RECONVENING OF DISARMAMENT MEET
New York, Sept. 23.
Japan called today for the reconvening of the United Nations Disarmament Sub-Committee by January 1 and for a suspension of nuclear tests when agreement was reached on a system to check on such suspension.
These were the highlights of
a draft resoluflon tabled in the United Nations General Assem- bly by the Japanese permanent delegate, Dr Koto Matsudaira.
It was submitted under the heading of the disarmament question, which is DI the Assembly's agenda.
