THE conduct of a barrister who withdrew from a case and walked out of court twice at the Central Magistracy was criticised as "a childlike performance" by Mr Justice C. W. Rocce in the Appeal Court this morning.

The Judge said that the attitude of Mr Lawrence Leong must have overtaxed the patience of the Magistrate, Mr Simon F. S. Li, "one of the most careful and patient individuals magmable."
