Suez Issue May Go Before The Security Council
London, Apr. 8.
Britain has decided in principle to appeal to the United Nations Security Council if current American discussions with Egypt fail to produce a Suez arrangement, official sources said
today.
The decision followed a meeting of the British Cabinet today which reviewed the pressing problems of the situation and the latest reports on the talks between the United States and Egyptian authorities in Cairo.
Britain is consulting with other powers on the timing and scope of the projected approach to the Security Council, the sources added.
