The Queen met the people. She was soon by thousands, mobbed by youth organisations and photographers. But she met others more quietly the monks of Jeronimos Monastery (right), and (below) the President's family. In the picture they are waiting for the Presi dent's gift a horse. And so (above) they left Portugal, and the sun, and were met by two small children at London Airport.
