Attempted Murder Charge: Accused Man In Box

A foki, charged together with his employer, a merchant, with at- tempted murder, this morning described a fight which he alleged took place between his employer and the complainant, resulting in the latter being injured.

The accused are Yung Tin-tak, 29, merchant, and Ho Kim-ming, 28, foki. They are on trial before Mr Justice T. J. Gould and a Jury of five men and two women.

The complainant, Chan Cheong-chi, alias Chan Yiu-sing, another merchant, was found badly injured by a schoolboy on the hillside off Pok- fulam Reservoir Road on September 3, last year.

The accused are alternatively charged with wounding Chan with intent to cause grievous bodity harm.

Mr W. A. Blair-Kerr, Senior Crown Counsel, is prosecuung, assisted by Det, Inspector J. S. Howarth.
