"Colony Jazz Club" In Jam Session

From Radio Hongkong

On Monday next at half past eight Radio Hongkong will present the first in a new series of live jazz broadcasts called "Colony Jazz Club”, The programme is produced by Ray Hamilton (formerly heard presenting "Just For You"), who confesses to being an out-and-out West Coast jazz fan,

Although Ray hopes that "Colony Jazz Club" will be slightly more coherent than some of the actual jam sessions he has attended in Hongkong, the main object is for the jazz to be as spontaneous as possible, and there will be a studio uulience of fans and friends for Monday's opening session toi help create the atmosphere.

For future programmes a number of tickets will be available for any listeners who care to write to Ray Hamilton at Radio Hongkong, P.O. Box 200. There available for this Monday, are even a very few seats

and these can be obtained by ringing 36718 tomorrow afternoon between 3 and 5 p.m.

"Angel l'avement" —J It i Priestley's best selling novel been "Angel Pavement“ hus

dramatised for broadcasting by Howard Aug. The story is about life in London, and in portfett bat life centred around

wander for hours in that great Jungle of streets and yet inis Angel Pavement. It is not cual thorousifiae, but a dars, harrow,

Produced in eight episoder be Martyn C. Webeter, the cast in- etudes such well known actors CR James Hayter, Dorothy Holmes-Gore, Gilzelda Hervey and Jon Sadler, with a support - Ing cast of members of the BEC Drama Repertory Compally.

The

instalnest -"Meet Inst Me Golspie"'--can be heard by fiskmers to adio Hongkong on Sunday (vening at 8. ö'clock.---- with an intiluetlan bt author himself.
