TODAY IN HEXANGULAR RUGBY TOURNAMENT

By "PAK LO"

By now most of you will have glanced at your fixture lists and will

realise that the Hexangular Rugby Tournament starts this afternoon, on decided by the three different grounds. Talking of grounds, it was HKRU some time ago that when this Tournament started there would he no switching of venues allowed, so it can be safely presumed that from now on games will be played as scheduled.

With the early start of the Tournament this year there should be no need for last year's fiasco to occur again, and it is hoped that where for any reason a game has to be postponed, the organisers will attempt to fix the replay in the same week, und not leave things in the air.

There are three major games scheduled for this afternoon and une minor one. All the games, with the exemption of the minor

Great Britain's 21-year-old Welterweight Champion Peter Waterman won the fight he just had to win. It was against Idrissa Dione from the French Congo, who was European champion not so long ago. The necessity for victory was that Peter has been nominated by the European Boxing Union to fight Dione's successor, Pierre Marconi, for the title.
