News of the ceasefire in Egypt and attempts to substitute a UN Police force for Anglo-French troops in the Canal Zone were believed to be the main factors behind the market recovery this week.
Turnover rose from $3.65 million to $6.38 million, the highest for some weeks. On the week thirteen shares were higher, nine steady and only seven lower. Last week, the tally was 19 down and 10 steady.
