AND LOUGHBOROUGH IN ATHLETIC MATCH
The weather changed from sun to rain at Ifley Road, Oxford on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 13, but the standard of competition kept at an excitingly high lovel throughout the three-sided athletica match.
The results of the matches were that Oxford beat London 93 to 65, Oxford beat Loughborough 98 to 60, and London beat Loughborough 80 to 78. More Important and satisfying were the close battles in all events right up to the sprint relay at the close.

Hollywood.
Irwin Allen is a most unusual type of film producer. He has combined science and entertainment well enough to win an Academy Award.
He did this although he usually flunked or just barely passed science courses in high school or college.
Allen's achievement in making science a successful theme of motion pictures He works closely with has now plunged him deep into the field of general science.

For a number of reasons it is almost certain to be an outstanding Championship. First and foremost it marks P. Thomson's attempt to win it for the third time, an achievement which in this century belongs to only the unquestionably great players, A. D. Locke, T. H. Cotton, W. Hagen, Bobby Jones, and the triumvirate of Varden,
