EIGHT women and three men were injured when a telephone junction box explosion blow four manhole covers into the air in the Strand, London. The explosion is believed to have been caused by a spark igniting an accumulation of gas. Police and firemen are seen after the accident; trying to trace the cause of the trouble. (Express),
