INTER-COUNTY EVENTS STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT AT BRITISH GAMES
The international events at the British Games over the Whitsun week-end at London's White City have in the past almost always held the public interest at the expense of the Inter-County Championships which are run in conjunction with them, but this year it proved the turn of the County Championships to produce the best races.
Last year, for instance, three men beat four minutes for the Mile in the international race. This year the White City crowd naw Koa Wood outrun the Hungarian world record holders, Tabori and Rozsavolgyi, in the 1,500 Metres, but the Inter-County races were even more interesting.
