Judgment was awarded the Midland Investment Co., Ltd., Pedder Building, in their claim for delivery of 26 scrip totalling 1,643 shares of the Union Insurance Society of Canton, Ltd, in the possession of the defendants, by Mr Justice J. R. Gregg in the Supreme Court this morning. The Bank of Communications, Prince's Building, who were named defendants in the action, were not present and were not represented by' Counsel.

The scrip were originally held by the Bank of Communications but were transferred to the custody of the Registrar of the Supreme Court under a Court order dated September 1, 1955.

Earlier, an application by Counsel for the Bank should not be heard
