Three records were broken et the Eleventh Inter-School In- vilation Athletic meeting or fonised by the South Chirmi Athiotic Ansociation which start- od at Caroline Hill yesterday.
Eight finale were decided and other semi-finals events were also held.

This was well off the world record of 1 hour the "A" grade, in the shot put by Yee Wal-Ion (Weiling- 30 minutes 26.4 seconds set by Josef Dolezal of Czécho-ton School) and the other in the Keung Pul-chau slovakia in 1953, but it is still a good performance by discus by

The 20 Kilometres Walk in most national Championships last year was won between hour 35 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes with, In the Championships of the bigger countries, several men coming in umber 1:50.
It Us not improbable that Kennedy Skipton ranks some- where in the world's best 50 in this event. Almost certainly he ranks in the world's best 100.

For Tommy Hearts waited 50 years for their Scottish Cup triumph. Walker the wait for his greatest footballing hour wasn't quite so long. In 1982 he joined the Tynecastle ground staff as a boy. Now, as manager of the club, he proudly holds aloft the Scottish Cup.
How does it feel to achieve the amblilon of a lifetime? How was this magnificent Hearts team built up?
Mr Walker answers these and other questions in "MY DREAM COMES TRUE," which begins today.
MANAGERS DON'T HAVE
TO SWEAR!
By TOMMY WALKER
Ever since I was a boy, I have heard one saying in Edinburgh over and over again: "Hearts will win the Scottish Cup when the trams stop running down Gorgie Road." Gorgie Road goes past Tynecastle Park. And, if any of you believe in omens, I only have to add that all the tram rails have been removed in the past 12 months. However, I hope it won't be necessary to have another such upheaval before Hearts win the Cup again!
Anyway, we HAVE done it at last, even if I am still Onding it hard to realise. For me it is the realisation of a dream which has lasted almost a quarter-of-a-century -from that far-off day when, as a boy, I joined the Hearts ground staff.
