PARADE

THE CHINA | MAIL, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1956.

This week we have a cricketer in the Spot of Honour at the Top of the Sports Parade and in welcoming Trooper Greenhalgh of the 7th Queens Own Hussars we offer our congratulations on his fine achievement last week ond when he took his 50th wicket of the season as a member of the Army North side.

Greenhalgh's prowess with the ball is well known and batamen throughout the Colony treat his bowling with the greatest respect. In spite of all this he has continued to claim top class victime and his offorts, which have resulted in 60 wickets being chalked up against his name in only 10 First Division gumes, speak for themselves.

O'Brien May Make It Four Nationals In A Row

Saye RICHARD BEARLEIN

The greatest training feat, perhaps of all time, almost passed without notice last year. That was Vincent O'Brien's performance in training thres Grand National winners in succession. Because of the newspaper strike he did not get the tributes that were due him; and by the time the newspapers were on sale nguin racing in- terests had shifted to the classic horses and the big spring handicape.

But it is probably not too late. There is a chance that the remarkable O'Brien may improve on his own record and saddle the winter for a fourth successive year. Then he will receive the high praise that should have been his last March.
