SCOTLAND AND CHINA QUALIFY FOR INTERNATIONAL FINAL

By "TOUCHWOOD”

Scotland and China qualified for the International Football Cup final when they overcame Portugal and England by scores of 3-2 and 3-0 respec- tively in yesterday's floodlight matches at the Caroline Hill Stadium be- fore a near capacity crowd.

While China scored as they willed and for most of the second half played more to please the crowd than to go for goals, the same cannot be said for Scotland who had to fight tooth and nail to hold on to their three goals lead and they just managed to scrape through.

A Wide Margin

Says "PAK LO”

Yesterday evening after a fast and exciting encounter the Army left the field the victors over the Rest of the Colony by a comfortable 16 points (2 goals, 1 try, 1 penalty goal) to nil,

There was plenty of open play in this game and the spectators were treated to thrill after thrill as the ball was swung from one end of the field to the other.

The Army must consider sides was first class and a lesson themselves a little lucky to win by such a

large margin, for their play did not deserve such credit. The passing of the Artny threes was very bad at times, and they continually crowded their wings.
