Your Radio Listening For Next Week In Detail-A

A Festive

Carol Concert, Nativity Play

With Christmas only a week away, Radio Hongkong programunes are already beginning to wear a festive air — even "Radio Crossword" at nine tomorrow wears a sprig of holly in its button- hole!

Earlier in the evening, there'll be a comedy for Christmas by J. B. Boothroyd, "The Orange in the Too". Starring Googie Withers and Jack Hawkins, the story concerns a family who, tired of the forced jollity and expense of a traditional Christmas, decide instead to have an ordinary quiet week-end.

to

But the seasonal atmosphere proves too strong for them, and each member of the family, unknown the others, secretly prepares something for genuine Christmas. The result of these preparations ir only apparent on the day itself, when the family find- with relief-that Christmas is happier and merrier than ever before. "The Orange in the Toe" was pro- duced for the BBC by Charles Parker.
