STEADY AND FIRM AT CLOSE

By A Special Correspondent

Many shares tacked on gains of between three and five per cent in the share market this week as buyers followed up last week's rise.

The panel at the side shows that of the 17 leading issues, not one was lower, three were steady and fourteen were higher on the week.

A share index would possibly show that with the all-round improve- ment the market had one of its best weeks since last July. And the market is now almost back to the levels of November 3.
