It deserves a niche all to itself in the crazy humbugland of Big Sport. Some of our most revered heads of amateur sport are cutting ludicrous capers as they walk the tightrope between amateurism and professionalism.
It certainly isn't residcted to tennis, though that's where the term was first applied.
