BRITAIN MUST SET EXAMPLE IN THIS COLOUR-BAR CRISIS

Says FRANK ROSTRON

They don't have a colour bar in sport in Britain or so they say, since the British Boxing Board of Control altered the rule that deburred Dick Turpin, Randy's elder brother, from fighting for a British Litle.

Turpin, British born, helped—like Champion sprinter McDonald Bailey (now in/Trinidad) and Arthur Wint (back in Jamaica)—to break down prejudice parity because his magnetic performances helped to swell the crowds.

Says “N'TACA”

The past week has been all “HUZZAS for the HUSSARS", and well they have deserved them. For a long time it has been accepted that they have the best polen- finl team among Colony cyclists, but until the last few days they have done little to bear out the opinions of the experts.

Two 62 Miles Massed Start Races, two Individual and two Team wins, the second of these is one of the most sweeping victories in Hongkong cycling history. Sunday's event, the race for the "Dairy Farm" Challenge Cup, saw the Hussur team fill the first three places, with another of their riders coming in fifth, just in case the point had not been made.

Schoolboys will in future be allowed to play for clubs in League matches after first obtaining permission from the Hongkong Football Associn- tion, it was decided at a meeting of the Council at Sports Road yesterday.

The meeting, with Mr C. T. Wang in the Chair, also adopted a proposal that a registered referee was permitted to report a match for the Press, provided he was not off- cinting at that particular match himself.
