British Housewife Is Now One Of The World's Top Milers'
Three years ago, a letter arrived at a London suburban newspaper office. It was from a 27-year-old Biggin Hill (Kent) housewife who asked the newspaper to put her in touch with a local athletic club. For, as she wrote: I find housekeeping leaves me with too much time on my hands." She was Mrs Leila Buckland, who duly became a member of Cambridge Har- riers, one of the most prominent clubs in South London.
