Funk's mediocre showing in his mixed doubles semi-final was attributable to fils stamina which could

History Made At Twickenham
By PETER LOVEGROVE
History was made at Twickenham on April 16 when the green, white and red flag of Italy fluttered in the Spring breeze from the masthead on the East Stand for the very first time.
A representative Italian National XV, once they had got over their initial nervousness at playing before the most knowledgeable crowd at the headquarters of the handling code, gave a decidedly promising display when losing to a London Counties XV which included five Internationals by 22 points to 11. It was a most Dr S. K. Low lost to Bla Funk enjoyable and fast game, played throughout in the best of spirit.
