The Prime Ministers of the British Common wealth today agreed on the decision of Pakistan to declare herself a republic.
The exact date of the proclamation of the republic is still to be fixed. The question was raised by Pakistan's Premier Mohammed Ali. The new state will be Islamic in character but the Premier gave assurances that the rights of the Hindu minority will be respected.
