The Legal Committee of the West German Bundestag (Lower House) today approved the Saar Agreement with France and West Germany's membership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organi- sation.
The Saar Agreement was approved by 15 votes to nine. The vote on NATO membership was 20 to nine.
The second reading of the Paris treplies on West German rearmament will take place in the Bundestag on February 24.
