Japan's exports of rayon and spun rayon goods last year were expected to reach a postwar high, both in value and in volume, 'according to the Synthetic Textile Association.

Exporta of spun rayon fabrics during the first half of the year totalled 117,729,000 square yards, an increase of 95 per cent over the corresponding period of 1953. Exports of rayon fabrics also increased by 8.4 per cent to 121,556,000 square yards, while those of rayon filament declined by three per cent to 9,012,000 lbs.
