Good Luck For 1955 TAKE YOUR CUE FROM HORACE LINDRUM
-Some Hopes For The Year
By TOM FINNEY
New Year resolutions are easily made and easily broken. So, as usual, I have made none. Although the only man I've ever met who made a serious resolution and kept it is a soccer reporter friend of mine who used to smoke 60 cigarettes a day, and on January 1, 1952, decided to stop smoking altogether.
He has never smoked since, and this week he suggested that I should break myself of the babit, too. I refused. After all, I only smoke threo cigarettes a day -one after a meal as a rule_and_if_that does one any harm then life is hardly worth living! I never smoked at all antil I was 25 and a large number of profes sional footballers of that age and younger do not smoke either,

It is not always possible to use the cushions to over- egme a snooker; at such times the 'swerve' stroke ta most important to your game. Don't ignore it just because you don't know how to executo it.
