Allies Agree To Take Up Case Of

11 Imprisoned Airmen

New York, Dec. 3.

Representatives of the 16 Allied Powers which fought in Korea agreed tonight to take up in the United Nations General Assembly at the "Carliest possible date" the case of the 11 American airmen imprisoned by the Chinese Communists,

The announcement was made by Mr Henry Cabot Lodge, the United States delegate, who presided.

"We had a meeting of the 16 and there is marvellous and inspiring unanimity on the vital need to get the release of the 11 American men and of all others who fought as members of the United Nations Command and are detained in violation of the Korean armistice agreement,” he said.
