Alleged Attack On Cyclist In New Territories
Allegations that Tang Yau died as a result of injuries received from an assault by the three accused, allegedly using a large stone and an iron bar, were made by the Crown when Li Wai, 21, Tang Wai-hung, 25, and Tang Ki-ming, 22, stood trial for murder before the Puisne Judge, Mr Justice C. W. Reece, in the Criminal Sessions this morning.
It was alleged that the assault took place along the road from Un Long and that, at that time the deceased was riding home to his village in Ha Chuen on a bicycle.
He suffered a fracture of the skull and injury
to the brain, and he died in Kowloon Hospital on July 23, one day after the alleged incident.
