By I. M. MacTAVISH
This was really a tale of flatterers and shatterers. The Club, fresh from their well merited win over the Army, flattered us into believing that they could also hold the powerful South China combination. The Caroline Hill boys in their turn shattered any prevailing ideas that they have slipped from their previous high standard.
I would be easy to get carried away in a sweep of superlatives in describing the play of the Chinesà side at the Club Stadium on Saturday. They were polished' and concise In everything they did and they hud far too much craft and ability for a Club side that never revealed the same determination as it did last Wednes day.

Forward Formation
London, Oct. 10.
In an effort to pave the way for Scotland's first victory since 1951, the Scottish Rugby Football Union has through its President, Mr John Bannerman, appealed to amilated clubs to change the formation of packing.
